A DVS optical module is a highly integrated device for distributed fiber vibration sensing, combining laser sources, modulators, detectors, and signal processing to monitor vibrations along optical fibers. OverviewDVS (Distributed Vibration Sensing) optical modules are designed for real-time monitoring of vibrations along optical fibers, using a single fiber to detect disturbances over long distances. They are widely applied in perimeter security, pipeline monitoring, bridge and highway safety, and fiber optic fault detection.

The modules leverage phase-sensitive OTDR principles, detecting Rayleigh scattered light to extract phase and intensity information for vibration analysis.
