Precision Optomechanical Systems

Precision Optomechanical Module

Opto-mechanical modules are complete assemblies that integrate optical lenses, mirrors, filters, or lasers with precision mechanical structures such as lens barrels, mounts, housings, and motion systems. The services offered by Fraunhofer IOF encompass the research and development of optomechanical processes, modules, devices and systems. Focal areas of work are the optical and mechanical design, components and subsystems for laser and illumination engineering as well as precision engineering. We develop technologies for hybrid integration of various components with the highest precision for the construction of complex opto-mechanical and opto-mechatronical micro and macro systems. Our expert team is experienced in delivering sophisticated custom solutions. This process is a discipline in its own right, requiring specialized tooling, documented procedures, and a highly skilled technical team to ensure that the design's.
