Price quote for fiberglass anti-corrosion cable trays in Mauritius

Fiberglass (FRP/GRP) cable trays in Mauritius are available from local and international suppliers, with prices generally ranging from USD 25 to USD 80 per meter depending on type, size, and resin system. OverviewFiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP/GRP) cable trays are widely used in Mauritius for industrial, commercial, and marine applications due to their corrosion resistance, lightweight structure, and fire-retardant properties. They are particularly suitable for humid coastal environments, chemical plants, wastewater treatment facilities, and offshore installations where traditional metal trays may corrode.

Price Factors

The cost of FRP cable trays in Mauritius depends on several factors: Tray Type: Ladder, perforated, U-channel, or enclosed trays. Ladder-type trays are generally more cost-effective, while enclosed or solid-bottom trays are higher priced due to additional material and manufacturing complexity. Material and Resin System: Polyester resin trays are typically less expensive than vinyl ester resin trays, which offer higher chemical and corrosion resistance.

Dimensions and Load Capacity: Wider trays or those designed for heavy-duty loads cost more. Standard widths range from 100 mm to 600 mm, with heavier-duty trays priced at the upper end of the range. Accessories and Fittings: Bends, tees, reducers, and brackets add to the total cost.

Using corrosion-resistant fasteners is recommended in high-moisture environments. Supplier and Import Costs: Prices vary between local suppliers like MRC Wire Products Ltd and imported options from Middle East or China, with shipping and import duties affecting final costs.

Recommendations

Evaluate total installed cost, including accessories and labor, rather than just unit price. Ensure compliance with IEC 61537, NEMA VE 1, and local Mauritian electrical codes. Consider resin type and corrosion resistance for long-term durability in coastal or chemical environments.

Request mill certificates, test reports, and ISO 9001 certification from suppliers to ensure quality and reliability. By considering these factors, you can select the most cost-effective and durable FRP cable tray solution for your project in Mauritius.
