Price of Cable Tray Fixing Bracket

Cable tray fixing brackets typically cost between £2 and £15 per bracket, depending on type, size, and material.

Price Range and Factors

The cost of a cable tray fixing bracket varies based on several factors: Material: Brackets are commonly made from pressed steel, pre-galvanized steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel, or stainless steel (A316/A4). Stainless steel and hot-dipped galvanized options are more expensive due to corrosion resistance and durability. Type and Size: Stand-off brackets, G hanger support brackets, and trapeze support brackets differ in design and load capacity.

Smaller wall-mounted brackets may cost around £2–£5 each, while heavy-duty overhead or trapeze brackets can range from £10–£15 or more per unit. Finish: Black painted or powder-coated brackets for aesthetic matching with cable trays may slightly increase the price. Supplier and Brand: Prices vary by supplier and brand, with premium brands like Legrand, Schneider Electric, or Phoenix Contact generally costing more.

Quantity and Delivery: Bulk orders may reduce per-unit cost, while custom or manufactured-to-order brackets may have longer lead times and higher prices. Examples from SuppliersCanford offers pressed steel brackets for plastic and metal cable trays, manufactured to order with a 2–3 week lead time. Direct Channel lists stand-off brackets and G hanger support brackets in sizes from 50mm to 300mm, made from pre-galvanized or hot-dipped galvanized steel, suitable for heavy-duty applications.

Shop4 Electrical provides in-stock stand-off brackets with free next-day delivery for orders over £100, indicating prices in the lower range for standard brackets.

Additional Considerations

Installation: Brackets are typically fixed to walls, ceilings, or floors, and spacing depends on cable load and tray type. Standard spacing is 4–5 feet apart, closer for heavier loads. Compatibility: Ensure the bracket matches the cable tray type (solid-bottom, ventilated, or ladder tray) and width.

Some brackets are adjustable or designed for specific tray sizes. In summary, for most standard installations, expect to pay £2–£5 for light-duty wall-mounted brackets and £10–£15 for heavy-duty or overhead support brackets, with prices influenced by material, size, and supplier.
