Price of cable tray supports and arches

Cable tray arch supports typically cost between £10 and £50 per unit, depending on size, material, and finish. Cable tray arch supports, also known as G hanger brackets or overhead support brackets, are used to secure cable trays to ceilings or walls and maintain proper spacing for cable management. Prices vary based on tray width, material, and coating.

For example, pre-galvanized steel or hot-dipped galvanized supports for 100mm to 225mm trays generally fall in the £10–£50 range per bracket. Heavy-duty or stainless steel versions may cost more due to increased strength and corrosion resistance.

Factors Affecting Price

Material: Pre-galvanized steel is cheaper than hot-dipped galvanized or stainless steel (A316/A4) supports. Size: Larger supports for wider trays (e.g., 150mm–225mm) are more expensive than smaller 75mm–100mm supports. Duty Rating: Heavy-duty supports designed for industrial loads cost more than medium or light-duty versions.

Installation Type: Stand-off brackets for wall mounting may differ in price from trapeze or overhead G hanger supports.

Budget Considerations

Supports and brackets typically account for 20–30% of the total cable tray system cost, so when planning a project, it's important to include these in your budget along with bends, tees, and covers. Purchasing ready-made supports is more expensive than fabricating them on-site, but ready-made options ensure compliance with standards and reduce installation time.
