How much does a mesh cable tray cost in Ethiopia

Mesh cable trays in Ethiopia typically cost between $25 and $60 per meter, depending on material, size, and supplier, with additional import duties and VAT potentially increasing the total cost.

Pricing Overview

The cost of mesh cable trays in Ethiopia varies based on material type, dimensions, and quality. Stainless steel mesh trays, often used in data centers or industrial applications for superior airflow, are more expensive than standard galvanized steel trays. Local suppliers in Addis Ababa and other industrial zones offer competitive prices, but imported trays from China or other countries may incur 15% import duty plus 15% VAT, adding roughly 30–35% to the base price.

Factors Affecting Cost

Material: Galvanized steel is more cost-effective, while stainless steel (304/316) is required for chemical plants or coastal regions. Load Capacity: Industrial applications typically require trays rated for 100–500 kg/m, which can increase the price. Customization: Custom sizes or perforation patterns may raise costs due to additional fabrication.

Lead Time: Local suppliers can deliver common trays within 7–10 days, while imported trays may take 45–60 days, affecting project planning and potential storage costs.
